"The YCW is the only organisation that addresses the plight of working adolescents; its existence is perhaps the only certain sign that Christianity among us is not dead... Nothing could be clearer or more urgently in the public interest, than the need for formation of working-class youth. A movement of opinion in support of this needs to be launched, beginning now, using the nuclei of genuine trade unions, the YCW, research groups, and youth movements."
